He graduated as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon located in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and has been working as a management systems consultant and auditor since 1999. He is fluent in both English and Spanish languages, and has the following credentials:
- IRCA certified QMS 2008 Lead Auditor (Certificate no. A016245)
- Former IATF qualified ISO/TS 16949 Auditor (Certificate 3-US-06-12-0637 expired 03/31/11)
- ABS Quality Evaluations ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 Lead Auditor
- API Quality Registrar ISO 9001, Q1, and ISO/TS 29001 QMS Lead Auditor
- API Monogram Program Lead Auditor
